Smart Exporter – Export Europe

This event, organised by Scottish Development International and UK Trade & Investment, held on 30^th November at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, offered support to Scottish businesses interested in exporting to Europe via specialist country clinics and intensive one-to-one sessions.  Speakers during the plenary session ncluded John Rendall, CEO HSBC Scotland, Anne MacColl, CEO of SDI and Yuri Andreev, Regional Manager, Scottish Development International, based in Moscow.  Ms MacColl highlighted that every £1 invested in exports brings £7 back to the Scottish economy, whilst Mr Andreev explored the main sectors of interest for exporters to Russia, such as energy, digital ICT and media, banking and finance, food and drink, retail, tourism, life sciences, ADM and textiles.
