We are pleased to announce the formation of a unique business winning group in the Dorset region which has the support of key agencies in helping drive new opportunities for our local businesses. Its core purpose is to introduce companies to both international opportunities and to stimulate overseas companies to work in partnership with you.

Dorset County Council has provided seed funding to launch this fresh initiative. The Dorset Export Group (DEG) is a professional membership group that brings together our most ambitious business people into one community. Support will be provided to take companies overseas, to include pre-mission preparations and post-mission follow up to help maximise the investment in these activities. By promoting companies and skills from the Region, in-bound visits will be coordinated and even for companies who may not wish to export, this will generate additional opportunities for local growth. Part of this strategy will also focus on how we can all benefit from the opportunities presented by hosting part of the 2012 Olympics in our region.
The Group will have its official launch on 5th October 2010. Attendees should ideally be key decision makers within their organisations and the launch event is free of charge. There will be a briefing about the aims and objectives of the Group and how you can quickly get involved in increasing your market share and wider benefits as well as the chance to network with people with similar ambitions as yours.
